Hip Joint Pain

The hip or coxofemoral joint is one of the most commonly affected joints for those suffering from osteoarthritis.

How to manage your Hip Joint Pain

The hip or coxofemoral joint is one of the most commonly affected joints for those suffering from osteoarthritis. Chronic hip joint pain may also result from post-grafting rehabilitation and traumatic injuries.

This causes inflammation, pain, and some movement restrictions around the hip.

LLLT is a low-level laser therapy that has been shown to effectively relieve pain and enhance mobility in patients with coxofemoral joint pain. The procedure for low-level laser therapy for hip joint pain takes place every day or on alternative days (15 sessions total). Based on indications, four to six preventive laser therapy courses are permitted per year.

Use the Variable frequency mode (1000Hz-2500Hz), expose the following area for 5 minutes:

  • Large trochanter area
  • Along the lumbosacral spine (L4–Co), paravertebral (scanning, 5 minutes each side)
  • Maximum pain zone (* in case of significant pain)

With a varying frequency, you can expose the area around a large trochanter (scanning for 10 minutes)
