Sinusitis, or rhinosinusitis, is the inflammation and swelling of the sinuses, which are air-filled spaces connected to the nasal passages. It can cause symptoms like nasal congestion, facial pain, headache, postnasal drip, and reduced sense of smell. Frontal sinusitis specifically affects the frontal sinuses above the eyebrows, causing symptoms such as severe frontal headache, forehead tenderness, nasal congestion, and sometimes fever.
